What You Will Do

We start at Fort Amsterdam, pass by the famous Queen Emma pontoon bridge and then drives along the famous and colorful "Handelskade". Crossing over the Queen Wilhelmina bridge, your trolley train will continue to Scharloo, a former residential neighborhood lined with picturesque villas built during the last part of the 1800's. You will stop for a photo at Bolo di Batrei, known as the wedding cake house, as it is the city’s most photographed building. Then we go by Pietermaai Cathedral, the largest and most impressive religious building on the island. Then we are off to the Queen Wilhelmina Park. We drive by the Waterfort Arches, which is an imposing fortress that was the site of the Willhem III Barracks. The tour will end with a visit to Fort Amsterdam.
