Salkantay or Sallqantay (in Quechua) is the highest peak in the Vilcabamba mountain range, part of the PeruvianAndes. It is located in the Cusco Region, about 60 km (40 mi) west-northwest of the city of Cusco. It is the 38th highest peak in the Andes, and the twelfth highest in Peru. Humantay is a 5,473 metres (17,956 ft) mountain in the Vilcabamba Range in the Andes of Peru.  Enjoy the Andes of Peru and the ancient practices and customs of the wonderful culture in sacred places and destined to special events like ceremonies towards the "APUS" PACHAMAMA and one of the main places chosen to be able to visualize the Andean constellations in the Milky Way. During this one-day trek to the Humantay Lake from Cusco.
