Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day & 3-Night

The trek was amazing- don’t underestimate the altitude and be ready for a big hike! But the views and scenery is unreal and worth the trek! The guides were attentive and the food was plenty

The tour company was amazing, well planned, porters (Fabian and his team) where amazing that they could carry so much and set up everything for breakfast lunch & dinner. Joyce was our tour leader and took great care to explain what was happening and when. Excellent communication. The Inca Trail was tough and a big challenge. I’m glad I went on it with my husband (48) and son (25).

This was an amazing trip with our guide Niltun Farfan and chef Venedicto! On this hike we got to do so much more than just see the mountains(which were breathtaking), but we got to learn about the Incan culture as well! So amazing! The trip felt well worth it even before we got to Machu Picchu!

This trip was amazing from booking until the last minute. So organized and professional. The trek with Nilton Farfan was 5⭐️- he kept things fun and was so knowledgeable - enjoyed spending our time with him and the other staff. The food- beyond delish 5⭐️ Venedicto was top notch! Everything about this trip was amazing, the meals made by our chef Wilbur were delicious, being a part of a group of other travelers was fun and helped make it through the long hike, the views were incredible and our guides Jimmy and Daniel were very informative and encouraging on the the trek. I would recommend this trek to Macchu Picchu to anyone looking for an amazing adventure.

We had a most memorable and outstanding hike through the Lares Valley in combination with the short Inca Trail. It was a wonderful hike through the Andes and a most intersting insight into the life of the people living there and a great way to connect with them. Everything was organized perfectly and I think I've never had a hike that luxurious. The food prepared by Raoul was most delicious and the amazing porters and horseman were very efficient and always suppported us. What made the trip extraordinary was our guide Aldair who answered all our many curious questions patiently and with a lot of knowledge. He was an outstanding representative of Peru and gave us extensive insights into the Peruvian an Quechua Culture. The highlight of the trip was of course the hike to Machu Picchu on day 4. I would definitely book this tour again.

Fantastic trip! Our guide Manuel was outstanding. The food was great and all of the staff were amazing. The visit to a local home was so interesting and gave a great insight to how people live in the mountains.

Fantastic trip with no worries at all. Had a great time with our guide Manuel. It was my first time hiking overnight and there was nothing to worry about. They took such good care of us.

Truly the best experience of my life. We saw stunning views of glacier peaks, alpacas, and hot springs in the mountains. We even visited local Quechuan communities at 13,000 ft. We were even guided by a stray dog! Our max elevation was 15,000 ft, and though the altitude was difficult to adjust to at first, our guide, Wilbur, was so adapting to our individual abilities. He gave us valuable cultural information and made the hard climbs more enjoyable. Each day, we were served a feast by Alex. On our last day, we even received a cake that says “The journey is the destination.” And it truly was. Breathtaking. Literally and metaphorically. And worth every second.

I'll start by saying that this trek was the highlight of my entire trip to Peru. It exceeded all of my expectations, and our guide Angel was absolutely phenomenal start to finish. Everything was meticulously planned, organized, and taken care of. The porters, chef/assistant chef, and horsemen took such good care of us and went above and beyond in order to make sure we were set up and comfortable throughout the trek. Angel (our guide) was not only informative, but treated us like family and made sure we were safe and happy along the entire journey. I would HIGHLY recommend Alpaca if you are planning to do a trek out of Cusco - you will not regret it!

Truly amazing from start to finish- incredible itinerary, so many lamas, alpacas, sheep, pigs, chinchillas, and how about condors at condor pass!? Angel our hide was so knowledgeable and steady and a master of transitions- fluid in Quechuan, Spanish and English with a deep respect and spirit of pachamama! Logistics were carried out seemingly without effort - a truly magical feat! So grateful!

We did the Lares trek with 2d/1n short inca trail and learned so much from our tour guides about the country, customs and history of the Inca- I came in knowing what (I thought) was a lot after reading several books, and am leaving with SO much more knowledge and context for all of the incredible sights we saw.
The views along the way were in paralleled- which made these difficult treks so worth it! Our guides (Luz for Lares Trek and Manuel for the 2d/1n short Inca trail) were incredibly encouraging and were subtle cheerleaders when we encountered particularly difficult sections. They were patient and positive and so kind.
The food was excellent and the porters were so helpful at making our experience so comfortable, with small personal touches that made the entire trip very special.

Luz Marina was our guide and we were so lucky to have her. She was so helpful and kind and always encouraging. I had a tummy bug for the 1st 2 days of the treck and Luz showed such kindness to me and ensured I was doing OK all the time. I am so grateful to her. She explained all about her people and culture to us and was very knowledgeable of all the plants etc on the mountains. The rest of the crew were excellent also, cooking the best food, we were fed so well, everything fresh and home made. I really enjoyed the trek and that was mostly because of the care and attention of Luz and the rest of the crew. Thank you.

Did the lares trek for my 30th bday. Was a little hesitant at first because they informed me I would be the only one on the trek and as a solo female traveler that worried me a bit. However, they went above and beyond to pair me with a female guide (Nancy) and assured me of my safety every step of the way. Nancy, my guide, was absolutely phenomenal! From the motivation she gave, to the care she took and her attention to detail have been unmatched. She went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable throughout the trip. She is extremely knowledgeable and filled my curious brain with sooo many new facts and information of not only the Peruvian culture but of the trek we were on!

Eloy and Claudio, the chef and horseman were also spectacular! Eloy, the chef, cooked very delicious and original meals every single day! He did not disappoint and even surprised me with a cake on my last day. Claudio, the horseman, was the sweetest most hard working man I’ve met. Him and his son Jonathan were lovely enough to allow us to have lunch at their home the first day because of the rain. He also let me ride his horse up the hardest part of the hike because I was struggling with my asthma.

Would highly recommend this company and specially the team I was assigned!

Without a doubt, this company gets it right! 10 out of 10 easy. Not only did they do things right, they went above and beyond. Our group was safe and VERY well cared for.
