Paracas and Huacachina Sunset Picnic Tour

Awesome experience. Better than I imagined even. Every activity right on time, very coordinated and well thougth. Would recomend 100%

VERY long day but a great experience. Woke up at 3am and not back until midnight. 4 stars because of last minute communication…we were hoping to go to sleep early as this was the day after we arrived and an early morning. Got a text at 5pm saying they’d let us know plan for pick up between 7-8 so I stayed up for that then went to sleep. At 10pm they sent another message telling us of an earlier time which I unfortunately did not see until the morning. There ended up being some emergency and we ended up being picked up an hour later anyway. Otherwise our tour guide Aaron was great, the others on the tour were very pleasant, and very worth the money (and even barely sleeping). We ended up paying an extra $15/person to use snowboard/skis to go down the dunes which I sorta regret and think going on the boards that everyone else used to slide down on their stomachs (included) probably would’ve been more fun.

This was an excellent tour! Our tour guide, Celilia, was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this tour if you have day to spare while in Peru.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was a very long bus ride (4hrs) with a very early start (5am for us) but we didn't mind this to get to the destination. The bus ride was comfortable and the guide knowledgeable and friendly.

The only thing I would change is the tour of the Vineyard, La Caravedo, as neither my husband nor I drink alcohol. We would have preferred a different experience. The lunch there was good though.

The sunset picnic and body sand-boarding was awesome...so much fun.

The whole experience was awesome from start to finish. Not only was each experience unique and memorable but our guide, Aaron, was amazing. You could tell he really enjoyed sharing the beauty of Peru and its rich history. Would most definitely recommend this to my friends and family and do it again!

The whole tour was organized perfectly from pickup to drop off. Aaron our guide did a brilliant job of explaining the process along the stops. I would 100% recommend this tour to all interred in a fantastic out. 17 hours seems daunting but is worth it.

Loved the tour, one of my favorite things I did while I visited Peru! Don’t think twice, book this tour, you won’t regret it.

This trip was amazing and Alex was part of making the whole experience amazing. Very well organized since when they pick you up from the hotel and drop you back off at night. Loved the detailed explanation of everything. In Huacachina the buggy ride, the sand boarding and sunset picnic was amazing. Best trip!

Our tour guide Fernando was amazing. He was knowledgeable and kind to everyone. He took care of everyone and made sure we all had a wonderful time. I’ve done many tours before with all kinds of guides. Fernando easily stands out as one of the best. Highly recommend him!

This was an epic weekend!!! if you have time to stay over night then stay its so worth the extra time and money, so many places to stay, more places then you can eat at

Very amazing trip of a life time , George had everything planned and was so helpful and attentive to my every need, I went solo but I didn’t feel lonely and enjoyed every moment from the beginning to the the end . Will be doing this again with my friends in October!

What truly made our day unforgettable was our incredible tour guide, Fernando. His energy, kindness, and deep knowledge stood out in every moment. It was a long day, but Fernando checked in with us constantly, made sure we were comfortable, and brought such positive vibes throughout. What an amazing way to kick off our Peru trip!

We’re a couple from Canada in our 30s and we had an amazing experience on this 17-hour day tour to Paracas and Huacachina! It was packed with activities but very well organized from start to finish. We were added to a WhatsApp group before the tour, which made it easy to follow instructions and receive updates from our guide. Throughout the day, we felt safe and well taken care of thanks to our fantastic guide Fernando and our skilled driver Willy.

The day started with a drive to Paracas and a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. A quick tip: it gets very cold on the boat due to the wind. I wore shorts, a t-shirt, a fleece, and a raincoat, and I was fine — but definitely bring layers. The boat ride was enjoyable and the islands were fun to explore, with lots of wildlife to see.

After the boat tour, the temperature warmed up — shorts and a t-shirt were enough. We could leave our warmer layers on the bus, which was spacious and comfortable.

Next, we visited the Caravedo Vineyard for a Pisco tasting. We tried three different types of Pisco and got an interesting tour. We even bought a small, cute bottle as a souvenir. Afterward, we had lunch at the vineyard’s restaurant where we also enjoyed a traditional dance show. The food was delicious and the overall experience was great.

Then came Huacachina — the highlight of the day. The desert buggy ride was thrilling, the sandboarding was so much fun, and the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. To top it off, the team set up a picnic for us in the dunes. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the moment even more memorable.

We highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for adventure, great vibes, and unforgettable moments!

What an amazing day, a must do if you have time in Lima! The Islas baletas boat trip was like a BBC wildlife episode. The lunch in the vineyard was really good and the pisco tasting was super fun with Jesus. Visiting the huacachina desert, with the buggie experience and the sandboarding, was awesome! Not so scarry as it seems, totally recommend! The sunset in the desert with the picnick prepared for us was simply wonderful. A big thank you to Fernando for his dedication and sympathy. With an extra-early pickup for Good Friday traffic at 4:15am and midnight drop-off, it is a very long day. But what a day! From boating to Balantas Islands (Peru's Galapagos), dune buggy ride in the desert with sand boarding, plus a visit to an historical pisco distillery with unique dance performance, the activities justify the time md travel. Fernandez' energy and knowledge combine with LimaExperience's luxury bus to make the miles slide away. Highly recommend!

Excellent day trip on our last day holiday in Peru
It’s an early start and late finish 4am-11.30pm) but really enjoyable made better by the excellent and very knowledgeable guide George. Very safe travel in good quality bus.

Boat trip was great, first time we’ve seen penguins in the wild. Lunch excellent at vineyard together with interesting tour. We aren’t drinkers so didn’t appreciate the Pisco but don’t let that put you off. The Oasis was ok but really enjoyed ATV ride on dunes, the boarding and the Lima Experience picnic was great while watching an amazing sunset.

Overall great day and great value. Well done George!!
