Day program We leave Paramaribo for a drive to the beautiful Brownsberg Nature Park. Visitors of this protected nature park will enjoy fabulous views of the nearby Brokopondo Lake and surrounding tropical rainforest. Main attractions of the park are the numerous nature trails to the refreshing streams and small waterfalls interspersed throughout the mountain and the encounters with the spectacular flora and fauna of the area. After the hike to the waterfalls, lunch can be consumed in the local restaurant. Finally we return to Paramaribo. - Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions, please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- Dry season warning (September, October, Mid -November): less water at the waterfall and presence of many horseflies
- Rainy season warning (April, May, June, July): flooding of a creek along side the road to the mountain inhibits the bus to reach the plateau. If this happens an alternative program will carried out: a stop at the Brokopondo dam, a visit to a marroon village, swimming at Colakreek
- A minimum of 2 people is required for the tour to have guaranteed departure
